The France international enjoyed a splendid debut season at the Parc des Princes in 2024-25, scoring 16 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions as Luis Enrique’s side won the Champions League, Ligue 1, the French Cup and the French Super Cup.

Doue arrived at Parc des Princes for a fee of €50 million last summer and he soon cemented his place in Enrique’s favoured starting XI. His stellar campaign was capped off by a Man of the Match performance in the Champions League final after scoring two goals and providing one assist during PSG’s 5-0 drubbing of Inter Milan.

The Golden Boy award was founded by Italian newspaper Tuttosport in 2003 and it recognises the best U21 footballer in world football every season.

The 2024 award was won by Barcelona’s supremely talented teenager Lamine Yamal, meaning he was ineligible for this year’s prize as past winners cannot emerge victorious twice.

Doue subsequently fought off competition from the likes of Pau Cubarsi (Barcelona), Estevao (Chelsea), Kenan Yildiz (Juventus) and Dean Huijsen (Real Madrid) to win the fiercely-contested award after establishing himself as an integral player at PSG.

In addition to the Golden Boy prize, Tuttosport also handed out several other awards.

The Best Football Executive award was handed to PSG’s Luis Campos, while Nasser Al-Khelaifi won the Best President prize following his work with the Ligue 1 giants. Ali Barat of Epic Sports scooped the Best Agent award.

Eva Schatzer won the Best Italian Golden Girl, and the Best Italian Golden Boy award was won by Inter Milan youngster Pio Esposito.

Former Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has been honoured with The Golden Player Man trophy following his tragic death earlier this year.
