Inter bring Marcus Thuram back to partner Lautaro Martinez, with Kristjan Asllani in midfield for the Club World Cup Round of 16 against Fluminense.

It kicks off at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, at 20.00 UK time.

The good news is the return to the starting XI of Thuram alongside Lautaro Martinez, while Asllani takes the midfield reins flanked by Nicolò Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The only surprise is Matteo Darmian in the back three rather than Francesco Acerbi.

Brazilian giants Fluminense qualified from the group phase after a 4-2 victory over Ulsan HD, between 0-0 draws with both Borussia Dortmund and Mamelodi Sundowns.

There are quite a few familiar faces in the squad, above all former Milan defender and Brazil legend Thiago Silva in defence, who is still going strong even though he turns 41 in September.

Otavio and Yeferson Soteldo are out of action, but Colombia international Jhon Arias and veteran Argentine striker German Cano are ones to watch.

It is also important to keep an eye on the sky, because the Chelsea match against Benfica here was suspended for several hours due to thunderstorms in the area, and there are some weather warnings expected today too.

The winners of this tie will face either Manchester City or Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal in the quarter-final.
