Milan have officially sent Noah Okafor to Napoli on loan for €1.5m with an option to buy at the end of the season for a further €23.5m.

The Partenopei had wanted a replacement after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made the transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, but failed to agree terms for targets like Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho.

Meanwhile, Milan had already signed off on Okafor’s loan with option to buy for RB Leipzig until the German club pulled the plug following a medical test.

With an hour left before the transfer deadline, Milan officially completed the transfer sending the Switzerland international to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Multiple sources are confident the fee paid is €1.5m-2m with an option to buy at the end of the season for a further €23.5-24m.

The 24-year-old had been purchased from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2023 for €15.5m, but struggled to make his mark at San Siro.

This season he contributed one goal and two assists in 17 competitive games.
