Official: Moriba leaves RB Leipzig for good

Ilaix Moriba has departed RB Leipzig permanently, joining Celta Vigo on a long-term contract.

After spending last season out on loan at Celta Vigo, Ilaix Moriba has now joined the Spanish La Liga side permanently from RB Leipzig.

Celta have activated a purchase option in the deal to make the move permanent on a contract until 2029.

This brings an end to a disappointing chapter at Leipzig for the 22-year-old.

The Guinea international never made the hoped-for breakthrough at the Red Bull Arena following his reported €16.6 million move from FC Barcelona in 2021.

In total, Moriba made just six appearances for Leipzig.
