Parma have officially purchased Croatian centre-forward Matija Frigan from KVC Westerlo for a reported fee of €10m.

He had his medical tests this morning and put pen to paper on a contract to June 2030.

The striker had been in advanced talks with Hull City, but the Ducali managed to swoop in and complete the transfer instead.

The 22-year-old can play as a centre-forward or on the right side of an attacking trio.

He came up through the youth academy of HNK Rijeka and was sold to Belgian side Westerlo for €5.5m in 2023.

Frigan scored 14 goals and contributed four assists last season in 41 competitive games for Westerlo.

Yet to make his senior debut for Croatia, he has represented his country at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 levels.

This bolsters the attacking options for new Parma coach Carlos Cuesta, who saw his team sell Ange-Yoan Bonny to Inter and Dennis Man to PSV Eindhoven this summer.
