Borussia Mönchengladbach have sold Alassane Plea to PSV.

After seven years at Borussia-Park, Alassane Plea is leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Die Fohlen confirmed on Thursday that the 32-year-old French striker is moving to PSV in the Netherlands.

“Alassane approached us with the desire to take on a new sporting challenge and secure another long-term contract,” said Borussia Mönchengladbach’s managing director for sport, Roland Virkus.

“We respected that wish and would like to thank Lasso for seven years at Borussia, marked by outstanding performances and many important goals.”

Plea departs having made a significant impact, scoring 68 goals and registering 53 assists in 236 appearances for the Foals.

“I look back with gratitude on seven wonderful years at this amazing club that I’ve grown to love. It was always an honour to wear the jersey with the diamond,” he said.

“I want to thank every single Foal for this incredibly special chapter in my career – this club will always have a place in my heart.”
