Giacomo Raspadori signs the contract with Atalanta after his transfer from Atletico Madrid
Italy international Giacomo Raspadori has completed his return to Serie A, joining Atalanta from Atletico Madrid for circa €25m, on loan with obligation to buy.
It is just six months since he left Scudetto winners Napoli for a new experience in LaLiga, where he was hoping to get more regular playing time.
That plan did not pan out, as he contributed two goals and three assists in 15 competitive appearances for the Colchoneros.
However, only three of those games were in the starting XI, and he grew increasingly frustrated.
Raspadori unsure until Atalanta came along

While Roma, Lazio and even his old club Napoli had been linked, the Giallorossi in lengthy negotiations, Raspadori suddenly leapt at the chance to join Atalanta instead.
This is a loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season for a reported fee of €25m including add-ons, exactly the same amount Atletico Madrid paid Napoli in August.

Raspadori’s contract will run to June 2030, with a salary believed to be worth roughly €4m per season including bonuses.
A product of the Sassuolo youth academy, the Italy international will celebrate his 26th birthday next month.
