SV Darmstadt 98 has to cope with the departure of Clemens Riedel shortly before the end of the transfer window.
As reported by Sky Germany yesterday, August 24, the 22-year-old is joining Espanyol Barcelona.
The transfer fee for the centre-half is €2million, and the Lilies are also securing a ten percent share of any resale.
At the age of 15, the central defender joined the Hesse club and matured into a professional at Böllenfalltor.
Altough valued at €4million by Transfermarkt.com, the defender’s contract was due to expire in 2026 hence the urgency to sell.
