Official: Serge Gnabry signs new Bayern contract

Serge Gnabry has inked a new contract with Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich have confirmed that Serge Gnabry has signed a contract extension with the club.

The 30-year-old winger’s new deal will keep him with the German champions until 2028.

“Serge Gnabry has grown with FC Bayern and is one of the absolute pillars of this team – both on the pitch and in the dressing room, he is incredibly important. He has won everything with this club and still always wants more: that makes him a role model. He represents FC Bayern,” said Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl.

Gnabry, who has been contracted to FC Bayern since 2017, expressed his delight at extending his stay.

“I am happy to be able to play for FC Bayern for several more years. The talks were consistently positive, and I never would have thought when I started at Bayern that I would be here for over ten years by the end of this contract,” he said.

“My goals are for things to continue like this: we are a real unit and can achieve great things. The reasons for extending are the team, the coaching staff, the whole club, the fans, the city, the environment: I feel very comfortable at FC Bayern.”
