Official: Trapp leaves Frankfurt for Paris FC

Only Oka Nikolov (415) made more competitive appearances for Die Adler than shot-stopper Trapp.

Kevin Trapp has officially left Eintracht Frankfurt to complete his move to Paris FC, the Hessen club has confirmed.

Sky Germany also reported that the 35-year-old’s successful medical with the Ligue 1 club has ensured that the transfer is finalized.

The Saarland native joined Frankfurt from 1.FC Kaiserslautern in 2012 and quickly established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper.

After three Bundesliga seasons, Trapp moved to Paris Saint-Germain before returning to Eintracht Frankfurt once again in August 2018.

His greatest success came in May 2022 as Trapp played a key role in winning the Europa League – Eintracht’s first international title in 42 years.

In 2024/25 as captain, he helped the club seal UEFA Champions League football via the Bundesliga for the first time in the club’s history.

In total, Kevin Trapp played 383 competitive matches for Eintracht Frankfurt, 293 of which were in the Bundesliga.

“Saying goodbye to Kevin Trapp is difficult for all of us – certainly most of all for him,” explained sporting director Markus Krösche.

“For years, he was one of the faces of Eintracht, captain and leading player, and made a decisive contribution to our success.

“Given his achievements and contributions, it was only natural for us to grant his request to transfer.

“Despite his departure, Kevin will always remain a part of Eintracht Frankfurt – and will always be warmly welcomed here,” he added.
