Die Adler can no longer call upon the Brazilian centre-half’s qualities.
Eintracht Frankfurt have officially said their goodbyes to Tuta who has completed his move to Al Duhail SC in Qatar.
The Brazilian is reportedly signing a five-year contract with last season’s runners-up who are paying Frankfurt €15million for his services.
At Al Duhail, Tuta will pocket a total of €25million net if he fulfils his contract, which was a key factor in his decision to join.
In total, the Qatari club is shelling out a package of €40million for the defensive specialist with wages included.
“Tuta has been an important part of our team over the past few years and has played a major role in Eintracht’s development and success during this time.
“By winning the UEFA Europa League, he will forever be a part of the club’s history. Therefore, it was a given for us that we would accept his request to transfer.
“We wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” said Markus Krösche, sporting director of the Hessen giants, regarding the 26-year-old’s departure.
