Aster Vranckx joins Sassuolo
Sassuolo have officially signed VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx on loan with an option to buy, returning him to Serie A after his Milan experience.
The Belgium international will celebrate his 23rd birthday in October and put pen to paper this evening on the contract with the newly-promoted club.
Vranckx back in Serie A after Milan
It is a return to Serie A football for the defensive midfielder, who had worn the Milan jersey in the 2022-23 season, also on loan from Wolfsburg.
He made only nine Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri, along with one in the Coppa Italia.
There were quite a few different injury problems last season that saw him miss at least three months.
Vranckx is a Belgium international with nine senior caps for his country, making his debut at this level in June 2023.
Sassuolo director of sport Giovanni Carnevali had confirmed this week that they were in talks with the player and his club.
