Divock Origi has been picking up a €4m salary for not playing at Milan, but now reportedly wants a further €2m to terminate his contract early.
The Rossoneri are busy clearing the decks so that they can bring in new players, formally releasing Luka Jovic at the end of his contract, plus Tammy Abraham, Joao Felix, Riccardo Sottil and Kyle Walker from loan spells.
Origi a dead weight for Milan finances

A player they sorely wish could be off their books is Origi, who was given a huge salary worth €4m per season net (€5.2m gross) when signing on as a free agent from Liverpool in 2022.
The Belgian barely featured with 36 competitive appearances, then went on loan to Nottingham Forest, and was frozen out for the entire 2024-25 campaign.
He was registered with the Milan Futuro youth team and never set foot on the pitch.
Nonetheless, Origi is refusing to terminate his contract early by mutual consent unless he also receives a golden handshake, which Calciomercato.com reports to be worth €2m.
That is 50 per cent of the current wages he’d earn if staying on until the end of the deal in June 2026.
