Manchester United have a genuine interest in Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, but any deal would require a record fee, according to David Ornstein.
The Ghana international has enjoyed a brilliant season and is one of the Cherries’ standout performers this season. He continued his good form on Monday evening by scoring against Fulham in the first minute, which was enough to secure all three points.

Given that Bournemouth have enjoyed a very good campaign, their players are attracting huge attention, and Semenyo is no different. Alongside Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen, he is one of the South Coast club’s most in-demand players.
Arsenal and Man Utd have been linked with the exciting winger in recent weeks, and transfer insider David Ornstein has now confirmed that the Red Devils are concretely interested in the 25-year-old.
According to the journalist, Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim is a big admirer of Semenyo, but he also made sure to emphasise that a deal this summer will be very difficult to pull off.

Bournemouth want a record fee
Speaking on NBC Sports, Onstein revealed that Semenyo is “a player that Manchester United, their manager manager Ruben Amorim, is very fond of.”
“[Bournemouth] would be looking to sell him for a fee in excess of what they got for Dominic Solanke, which was £65m. There’s no release clause, they would want a club record. I don’t think both he and Kerkez will [be sold] after Huijsen, so it’s maybe two of the three.”

Ben Jacobs has similarly reported on Semenyo, and he has confirmed the exact fee Bournemouth would be looking to fetch. He claims that a bid worth around £75m (€88m) “would likely be accepted.”
However, Jacobs echoes that the Cherries are looking to keep their squad together and will likely not sell more than two key players this summer. The future of Huijsen is out of their control due to a €60m release clause, but they will be able to negotiate for Kerkez and Semenyo.
They are expected to bite the bullet on one of the two as just selling Huijsen likely won’t be enough to balance the books after cutting it close with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules recently.
Due to his inflated price, Semenyo could ultimately be the odd one out. Man Utd surely won’t be able to afford him at £75m.
