Paul Wanner speak on his immediate future

Bayern Munich’s Paul Wanner is still highly regarded at the Bavarian club. After an unfortunate loss in the U21 EUROS with Germany, he now speaks on his future.

Paul Wanner has had a difficult season with Heidenheim in 2024/25. After a great start to the season, his form took a dive and he struggled to get into the starting eleven for the rest of the season. In the end, Wanner played 41 times for Heidenheim and was involved in 10 goals (6 goals, 4 assists).

“First of all, I’m happy that i managed to avoid relegation with Heidenheim. I haven’t thought about anything else yet. The decision will be made after the U21 EUROS”, said Wanner about his immediate future to BILD.

Bayern’s current plan is to loan Wanner out once again – but this time to a club which regularly plays European football. They still believe Wanner can one day become a leader in their squad.

Wanner has previously expressed his wish to not become a regular loan player; but with Bayern still on the lookout for an attacking player/winger, a loan seems to be the most realistic outcome for this situation.
