There are more tensions brewing at Inter after Benjamin Pavard was spotted playing paddle board with Theo Hernandez after withdrawing from the Club World Cup due to injuries.

The brief experience in the tournament has left with it a significant hangover, as the games were overshadowed by the ugly row between Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu.

That is not the only source of tension within the Nerazzurri camp, because Pavard is also accused of not being 100 per cent committed to the cause.

The defender pulled out of the Club World Cup to nurse an ankle injury that has been plaguing him for several months.

It therefore raised eyebrows when pictures were published showing Pavard playing paddle board with friends on vacation in Porto Cervo, including Milan star Theo Hernandez.

This is a sport that uses many of the same rules as tennis and therefore is quite hard on the ankles at the best of times, let alone when one is already injured.

La Gazzetta dello Sport warn that when Pavard does get back to base to start pre-season training, the club will have some words to say to the France international about looking after himself.
