Juventus suffered a humiliating defeat in Turin against Atalanta, seeing their fans leave the stadium more than 10 minutes before the final whistle. Here are the player ratings from our reporter at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus: Di Gregorio 7; Weah 5 (53′ Alberto Costa 5), Gatti 6 (53′ Kalulu 5), Kelly 5, Cambiaso 5; Locatelli 4.5, Thuram 4.5; Nico Gonzalez 4 (52′ Mbangula 4), McKennie 4, Yildiz 4 (46′ Koopmeiners 4); Kolo Muani 4 (75′ Vlahovic 4). Coach: Thiago Motta 4.

Best Juventus player: Di Gregorio 7 – Kept Juventus alive with some stunning saves. He nearly avoided Retegui and De Roon’s goals as well. Couldn’t do more than that. Gatti was the only Juventus player applauded by the fans.

Lowest Juventus rating: It’s probably impossible to pick just one. Kelly was too soft at the back. McKennie caused a naive penalty. None of the attacking midfielders ever created anything dangerous, let alone Kolo Muani. It was a terrible night for Juve, by far the worst in Serie A this season.

Juventus coach: Thiago Motta 4 – Juventus didn’t produce a single shot on target in the first half, and the approach after the break was shocking, to say the least. It’s like Juventus start from scratch in every game. You never know what may happen. What’s even worse is that Lazio could leapfrog them into the fourth spot tomorrow.

Atalanta: Carnesecchi 6.5; Djimsiti 6.5, Hien 6.5, Kolasinac 7.5 (84′ Toloi N/A); Bellanova 7, De Roon 8, Ederson 7.5 (80′ Samardzic N/A), Zappacosta 8; Cuadrado 6.5 (46′ Brescianini 7), Retegui 8.5 (60′ De Ketelaere 7), Lookman 7.5. (80′ Pasalic N/A) Coach: Gasperini 9.

Best Atalanta player: Retegui 8.5It’s not only about the goal. Retegui gave a hard time to the whole Juventus defence, making brilliant use of his body. He converted a penalty kick perfectly for his 22nd Serie A goal this season. The entire Atalanta squad played a fantastic game. Sead Kolasinac’s assist for Zappacosta was spectacular, and Lookman was dangerous every time he touched the ball. De Roon was sublime in central midfield, although he didn’t find much opposition in the middle of the park.

Atalanta coach: Gasperini 9 – Humiliated Juventus at their home in one of the best games of the season for La Dea. The Bianconeri did nothing to cause trouble for the Nerazzurri, but Atalanta continued playing attacking football until the very end. They could have scored even more.
