Saudi club to sign Joao Felix

Al Nassr are frontrunners to sign Chelsea winger Joao Felix this summer and have reportedly had a £45 million bid accepted for the 25-year-old winger. The journeyman midfielder has been with Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona, AC Milan and Benfica already, and now looks set for an opportunity in the Middle East where he will earn around £400,000-per-week.

Two goals in 15 games at AC Milan in Serie A was not enough to persuade the Italian club to sign Felix permanently, and he returned to parent club Chelsea promptly. Blues’ manager Enzo Maresca has no intention of giving the winger a place in the first-team this season, despite Chelsea spending £42 million on him last summer. Just one year later and he will depart the Blues for a similar fee to Saudi Arabia.

Joao Felix has scored 9 goals in 45 games for his country and has widely been seen as a disappointment in recent years of his career, despite Atletico Madrid spending a whopping 126 million euros to sign him from Benfica in 2019.

The Portuguese international will likely sign a deal next week.
