    Serie A sides Roma and Como were in pre-season action this evening, as Gian Piero Gasperini’s Giallorossi side were defeated 4-0 by Premier League side Aston Villa and Cesc Fabregas’ Como emerged victorious over La Liga outfit Real Betis.

    Goals from Assane Diao, Lucas Da Cunha and Ivan Azon were enough for Como to defeat the Andalusian side after a brawl broke out at the end of the first half. Como led the match at half-time with a 2-goal advantage but goals from Isco and Junior Firpo levelled things up in the second half. Azon scored in the 2nd minute of injury time to give the Serie A side the win.

    Roma embarrassed by incisive Villa

    Aston Villa managed just four shots on target against Roma but scored with all of them as the Giallorossi struggled to get a foot hold in the match. Gasperini’s side had just one shot on target in the entire match, despite controlling more possession than their English opposition.

    However, goals from Emi Buendia, Jacob Ramsey, Ollie Watkins and Donyell Malen gave Unai Emery’s side a comfortable victory over the Serie A club.
