Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimares has been labelled the hardest-working Premier League player after it was revealed that he has covered the most distance so far.

There have been 11 Premier League matches so far this season and the Brazil international has clocked a significant 122.8km so far, more than any other football in the league, writes the Mirror.

Flynn Downes and Youri Tielemans share the fifth spot for distance covered this season, each clocking 116.5km. Downes has become a fan favourite at Southampton after joining on loan from West Ham despite the team’s struggles.

Tielemans, meanwhile, has seamlessly adapted to Aston Villa’s style under Unai Emery, even though the club’s form has dropped off in recent games.

Dejan Kulusevski comes next with 118km covered. The Swedish international has been a revelation under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, shifting from an inverted winger to a central creative force. With two goals and two assists in the league so far, he has been a highlight for the North London side.

Lewis Cook has covered 119.3km this season, an incredible achievement for the Bournemouth midfielder who returned from an ACL injury in 2021. Starting all 11 league games so far, Cook has not only put in the hard yards but also contributed with three assists and a goal, making a strong case for potential England recognition.

Second place falls to Kai Havertz. The German has covered 122.6km playing up front. for last season’s Premier League runners-up.
