PSG vs. Lorient
Luis Enrique and his team have three games in less than a week, with PSG coming off a 4-1 win over Olympique Lyonnais last Sunday. It’s a busy few days for the capital club, who can use these next two matches to build positive momentum heading into the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal tie against Borussia Dortmund.
The Parisians can also secure the 2023-24 Ligue 1 title with a win over Les Merlus and AS Monaco losing to LOSC Lille, but PSG will face a Lorient team fighting for points in their effort to avoid direct relegation and remain in France’s top flight.

Régis Le Bris and his team enter this match against PSG riding a five-game winless streak as Lorient are currently in a tough spot, sitting directly in the relegation zone. They trail Le Havre, who are in the relegation playoff position, by two points and three points away from safety, with FC Metz holding onto 15th place.
Marseille vs. Nice
Francesco Farioli and his team are in a tight race for a European competition spot next season. Nice currently trail Stade Brestois by six points for one of the Champions League spots, so a win over Marseille closes that margin with four matches left on their schedule after Wednesday’s game.
Nice snapped a two-game winless streak last Friday with a 3-0 win over Lorient, keeping their aspirations of Champions League football next season alive. Marseille are also vying for a European competition spot next season, but their hopes of securing it through Ligue 1 are fading.

OM (40 points) trail Nice (47 points) by seven points, so Jean-Louis Gasset and his team need a win over the visitors on Wednesday. Les Phocéens also have to leapfrog Lyon (41 points), Stade Rennais (42 points) and RC Lens (46 points). A Marseille win will allow them to jump over two teams, but a loss to Nice forces OM to win the UEFA Europa League as a way to qualify for a European competition next season.
