Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique appears to have definitively shut down speculation linking Bradley Barcola with a move to Bayern Munich.
When Bayern Munich faced Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup on Saturday, one of their main summer transfer targets was playing for the opposition: Bradley Barcola.
However, shortly after Barcola was first linked with Bayern, reports quickly emerged suggesting it would be very difficult for the German champions to bring the Frenchman to Germany, and the likelihood of Barcola joining them has gradually diminished.
Any remaining doubts about the possibility of a transfer now appear to have been put to rest by Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique.
“We appreciate that our players attract interest from other clubs. But Bradley is one of the young talents we’ve placed our trust in. He’s had an outstanding season,” Luis Enrique said after PSG’s 2-0 win over Bayern, according to Sky Germany.
“I expect him to play here for many more years, and I believe that’s what he wants too. In that regard, I have no doubt he will remain our player,” Enrique added.
