PSG goalkeeper Letellier and his family violently kidnapped and robbed

Paris Saint-Germain‘s‘s third goalkeeper Alexander Letellier and his family were robbed when four thieves broke into their home in Yvelines at around 2am on Tuesday morning, reports RMC.

Despite the activation of the alarm after detecting an intrusion in the garden, the assailants had time to enter the house and hold the couple and their two children, aged two and six, against their will.

Letellier‘s wife was assaulted in the face, while another of them threatened Letellier at knifepoint, demanding his jewellery and money and even hitting him.

Fortunately, the swift intervention of the authorities prevented further harm and they were able to arrest three of the four assailants, two of whom were minors.

Thieves taken into custody

They have all been taken into police custody in Versailles. According to the French media, the two minors were 16 years old, while the adult who was arrested is 21. In addition, all three had some objects stolen from inside the house.

Chloe Letellier, the player’s wife, has left a message on Instagram to update people on the situation.

“I thank you very much for all your messages. We are physically fine,” she posted.

The 33-year-old Letellier came through PSG‘s youth academy but has spent almost his entire career away from the club, mostly in Ligue 1.

He returned to the French capital in 2020 from Orleans. He has had very little involvement on the pitch but seems to be a valued member of the squad.
