PSG Reaches Milestones in Le Classique Win Over OM

PSG’s 50th win against Marseille places them among the top three teams they’ve beaten most in their history. Ahead of OM are FC Nantes with 54 wins and AS Saint-Étienne with 51 wins.

The milestone victory wasn’t the only achievement that the Parisians reached on Sunday. The win also enabled PSG to equal the record of not having lost any of their last 21 away games in Ligue 1 (16 wins and five draws).

This streak is the longest unbeaten away record in the top flight, matching Olympique Lyonnais’ run between March 2005 and April 2006. The Parisians’ road unbeaten streak began this run on February 26, 2023, with a 3-0 win at Marseille.

PSG will have a chance to set the record on April 24 when they travel to the Stade du Moustoir-Yves Allainmat for a match against FC Lorient since a win over Les Merlus puts their road unbeaten streak at 22 games.

Luis Enrique and his team accomplished another personal feat in their victory against Marseille. Despite the disadvantage, PSG have managed to lose just one out of their last ten Ligue 1 matches where they had at least one player less for the remainder of the game (excluding red cards received after the 90th minute).
