PSG’s Champions League parade turns nasty: Fans clash with riot police in more chaotic scenes as Emmanuel Macron condemns violence that left two people dead and hundreds injured

Celebrations in Paris turned violent on Sunday as Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League victory parade descended into chaos, with fans clashing with riot police.  

Tens of thousands of fans gathered in the French capital after PSG’s 5-0 win over Inter Milan in Munich – a result that delivered the club its first ever Champions League title.

However, the celebrations quickly turned violent as clashes erupted between supporters and riot police, with projectiles thrown and officers forced to use tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowds.
