The Japanese centre-half has been linked with a move away from Gladbach all summer.
PSV Eindhoven have submitted a new second offer for Ko Itakura worth more than €9million, according to Sky Germany.
The first offer was initially rejected by Borussia Mönchengladbach who are now assessing the second offer.
Fellow Dutch Eredivisie side Ajax are also believed to be monitoring the Japanese international’s situation.
Itakura enjoyed an impressive 2024-25 Bundesliga campaign making 31 appearances while scoring 3 goals.
The 28-year-old moved to Die Fohlen on loan in 2021 before the Bundesliga club coughed up €5.7million to Manchester City for his services.
