La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan star Christian Pulisic is expected to miss a home game against Fiorentina on Sunday, having sustained a hamstring injury in the USMNT’s latest game against Australia.

Milan star Pulisic, the current Serie A top-goal scorer, is not expected to be available when the Rossoneri host Fiorentina at San Siro on Sunday.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the injury Pulisic sustained during Tuesday’s international friendly against Australia will likely force him to the sidelines when Serie A resumes after the international break.

Pulisic joined his national team last week on the back of an ankle injury, from which he seemed to have recovered, making a substitute appearance against Ecuador this past Saturday.

USMNT coach Pochettino provided positive fitness updates for Pulisic before the game against Australia and started the Milan star last night, only to then be forced to replace him after 30 minutes.

“He felt something in his hamstring,” Pochettino said after the game.

“Tomorrow [today] he will fly to Italy, tonight we will assess, and we cannot say anything at the moment.”

Pulisic, 27, has scored six goals and provided two assists in eight appearances across all competitions with Milan this season.
