The quick-thinking of a British nanny has been hailed following a car crash which involved three of Harry Kane’s children in Germany.
Bayern Munich and England star Kane was touching down in London when three of his children – Louis, three, Vivienne, five, and Ivy, seven – were in a Mercedes van that collided with a Renault near Schaftlarn, south of Munich, on Monday evening.
Officers are said to be viewing it as an accident, and the young Renault driver could receive a fine of just £100, despite nine people being involved, following the incredible reactions of the Mercedes driver.
A source told The Sun: ‘The Kane’s nanny did an incredible job of protecting the children.
‘None of this is her fault. She might be on German roads, but she had right-of-way. It was the German driver who cut across her path and smashed into her.

‘She would only have had milliseconds to react.
‘You can see from the pictures it was a serious smash, but the Kane children would have felt nothing other than a bang. She really has averted disaster.’
However, the Renault driver at the centre of the crash could receive just a small fine for her role in the drama.
A source told The Sun: ‘If anyone was injured the driver could be prosecuted for negligent assault.
‘But incredibly, everyone was unharmed – so she will likely just get a fixed penalty notice and claims against her insurance.
‘She must have been stunned when she found out she smashed into the Bayern star’s car.’
A spokesman for Kane told Mail Sport: ‘There was a crash, but the kids are fine, and none were injured.
‘No injuries at all. They went to hospital for a routine check-up.’
Kane’s wife Kate and fourth child Henry were not believed to have been in the van.
The Renault driver could receive a fixed penalty notice, of around £100, for the incident
At the time of the crash, Kane was in London ahead of Bayern’s Champions League game
At the time of the crash, Kane had just landed in London ahead of the first leg of Bayern Munich’s quarter-final clash against Arsenal.
Making his first club appearance in England since leaving Spurs for Bayern in the summer, Kane scored his side’s second goal from the penalty spot in a 2-2 draw.
