The right-back who represented Bayern between 2011-19 remembers his time in Bavaria fondly.

As Bayern Munich gear up to face Flamengo in their Club World Cup last-16 tie this Sunday, former full-back Rafinha had his say.

Asked on whether he will offer Bayern players tips about Flamengo or visa versa, he gave a rather quirky response.

“I’m going to turn off my phone [laughs]. I played for Bayern for eight and a half years,” he told ‘Ge Globo’ Ésporte’.

“They know that I played for Flamengo, I was very happy, I was a champion, I won many titles. Of course some calls will come, but I have friends on both sides.

“Thomas Müller is my friend, we talk almost every week, we built a very good friendship during our time at Bayern. I’ll see what I can do.

“They have the best possible people to obtain information about each other. I’ll just keep quiet, my heart is torn,” the Brazilian said.
