The 16-year-old, who moved to Ibrox from Hamilton Academical last summer, has netted more than 20 goals for Rangers’ youth teams so far this season and he has now been given permission to travel to Brighton to undergo a medical.

That is according to a report from The Daily Record, who claim that Condy has been allowed to discuss terms with Fabian Hurzeler’s side after a fee was agreed with Rangers.

Derby County and several other Championship clubs have also been linked with a move for the young striker in recent weeks, however Brighton have reportedly won the race for his signature after reaching a full agreement with Rangers.

The Scottish giants had submitted two contract extension offers to Condy, but they have now accepted defeat and permitted a permanent sale to Brighton.

It’s reported that Condy will be allowed to trial with Brighton before the end of the 2025-26 season, and he will then sign a full-time contract with the Seagulls over the summer.

Condy’s former club Hamilton lost the youngster on a free transfer when they disbanded their youth academy last summer, but they will also benefit financially from the 16-year-old’s transfer to Brighton.

Condy will initially join Brighton’s impressive academy set-up, which has recently developed first-team stars, and cousins, Jack Hinshelwood and Harry Howell.

It comes after fellow academy star Oliver Goodbrand joined Newcastle United earlier this year.

Bailey Rice, who has made 16 senior appearances after graduating from Rangers’ academy, could also depart Ibrox this summer, with the 19-year-old currently set to become a free agent when his current deal expires at the end of June.
