Raphinha has been heavily linked in recent days with a blockbuster summer transfer to Manchester United.

According to Fijaches reports, with Man Utd have put a €70 million bid on the table for the Brazilian winger.

But Romano has shot down these reports and says he has no information on Man Utd making contact.

“I’ve zero indications from my sources about contacts, talks, calls, anything to link Raphinha with Man United. Zero,” Romano said on GiveMeSport.

Raphinha is enjoying a career season with the Blaugrana, having emerged as a team leader under Hansi Flick. He is now the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or.

In 42 appearances, he has scored 27 goals and produced a further 20 assists as the German has built arguably the finest team in Europe at present.

Romano on Julian Alvarez

Romano also commented on reports linking Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez with a summer move to Liverpool.

Anfield Watch and FootballTransfers revealed recently that Liverpool are massive admirers of Alvarez.

They tried to sign him last summer before he joined Atletico from Man City and they remain interested ahead of this summer.

“He was on their shortlist last summer, for sure,” Romano confirmed.

“Now he’s happy at Atletico and he signed for them just 9 months ago, so nothing concrete at this stage. We will see.”

Alvarez has been a revelation for Los Colchoneros this term. He has 20 goal involvements across LaLiga and the Champions League in close to 2,600 minutes.

Liverpool are in the market for at least one top-class attacker this summer.

Mo Salah is increasingly likely to leave the club on a free transfer when his contract expires, while the futures of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are also in doubt.
