Manchester United are receiving a growing number of approaches for Marcus Rashford as his January departure picks up steam.
The Red Devils outcast has admitted that he is ready for a new challenge and the club won’t block his exit. On the contrary, Man Utd are desperate to raise funds and are looking to facilitate his departure as soon as possible.
The issue with this is that Rashford won’t come cheap. Man Utd would ask for a sizeable transfer fee in the event of a permanent move, but even a loan is proving problematic for many clubs around Europe simply due to his massive wage.

Nevertheless, clubs have been approaching the Manchester giants regarding a move for the homegrown superstar. Rashford has received – and rejected – a centrally-coordinated offer from Saudi Arabia, while Club World Cup participants Seattle Sounders of MLS have held internal discussions over the feasibility of a move for Rashford.
But things are also stirring in Europe despite the massive outlay that signing Rashford would require.
Rashford’s European suitors
Earlier on Tuesday, it was revealed that AC Milan hold a genuine interest in Rashford and that they would start seriously looking into the matter after holding talks with Man Utd for the winger.
According to The Athletic, “sources believe Italy is the likeliest destination” for the England international, with Juventus also interested, but David Ornstein has revealed that Borussia Dortmund are considering bidding for Rashford as well.

The Bundesliga side managed to strike a favourable loan deal for Man Utd flop Jadon Sancho last January and are aiming to do something similar with Rashford, although the 27-year-old’s salary is the largest stumbling block. Man Utd would have to continue to shoulder a significant chunk of his wages.
Additionally, Fabrizio Romano reports that Galatasaray have enquired about Rashford in recent times. However, they received the same response as his Saudi suitors.
Rashford is determined to remain in a top-five league to keep his chances of getting into Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the 2026 World Cup alive. It is also known that he would favour a move to Spain, and Barcelona in particular, but the club evidently can’t afford him at present.
