Marcus Rashford is destined to leave Manchester United this summer, with super agent Pini Zahavi now stepping up to send the England star to his dream destination.
Rashford has spent the second half of the season on loan at Aston Villa after a fall out with head coach Ruben Amorim, yet his chances of remaining at the Birmingham club now look slim as Unai Emery’s side need to qualify for the Champions League to stand a chance of re-signing the player, who is currently out injured.
But if a move to Villa looks destined for failure, the 27-year-old has been told that a move to Barcelona is progressing, with Sky Sport Switzerland giving positive indications for the deal.
Rashford is working with super agent Zahavi to complete what is considered to be his dream move.
Talks over personal terms have started, with Rashford having made it abundantly clear that he wants to move to Barca.
While the Spanish side are struggling financially, he will command a relatively small transfer fee of €35 million, which means he represents a relatively low-risk investment for the Catalans. After all, Rashford’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently is €53.6m.
Barca holding back
The transfer fee is a stumbling block for Barcelona, who are not currently willing to pay United that figure for the player.
Indeed, the whole deal could be dependent on the Blaugrana offloading other stars first. It is claimed that both Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha are players they are looking to sell in deals that would raise the type of money required to sign the Englishman.
Rashford does not appear to have a future at Man Utd when Amorim remains at the club, and while he has not totally resigned himself to leaving Old Trafford, it appears that a summer deal is inevitable.

While Real Madrid may wish a sale, it may be difficult to manufacture given his large wages and chronic physical unreliability over the course of the last 18 months. Alaba would certainly represent a major gamble for any buying club.
