Rasmus Hojlund could be the next player in line for a brutal exit at Manchester United following reports that Ruben Amorim is not convinced by the striker.
Hojlund has had a disappointing time in front of goal since his €74 million move from Atalanta in 2023, netting just 12 times in 48 Premier League appearances, with only two of those goals coming this season.

Although Hojlund has shown his quality in Europe with 10 goals in 13 games across the Champions League and Europa League, United appear to be slowly running out with patience over the 21-year-old.
United had initially earmarked Hojlund as unsellable but their stance has changed according to talkSPORT, who claim that the Danish youngster is effectively ‘on trial’ until the end of the season.
The report states that Amorim has been ‘far from convinced’ by Hojlund and that United would now be open to offers for the ex-Atalanta wonderkid as the club look to raise funds to reinvest into the squad.
The news of Hojlund’s availability is reported to have filtered through to Italy, with Juventus and Napoli said to be among the sides keeping a keen eye on the situation.

Hojlund paying the price for poor service at United
United were hoping Hojlund would take a step up from his debut season where he scored ten Premier League goals in 30 games despite often finding himself isolated and lacking service up front.
Hojlund took an average of 1.3 shots per game in the Premier League last season – a number that was exceeded by nearly 100 players across the division.

This season, Hojlund has only managed to muster 0.7 shots per game in the league, with even defensive midfielder Casemiro having more attempts at 1.3 per game.
United have struggled to create a cohesive attacking unit both under Amorim and former boss Erik ten Hag and, while the club appreciate Hojlund’s frustration and age, the lack of a true goalscorer is proving costly to the team.
A number of forwards have been linked to United in recent weeks but the club are unable to make any big money acquisitions until a major sale is made and Hojlund could join the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garancho on the chopping block in the final few days of the January transfer window.
