RB Leipzig face heavy competition for Brazilian striker

RB Leipzig are far from the only club interested in Brazilian striker Rômulo.

Rômulo, a Brazilian striker playing for Turkish Süper Lig side Göztepe, is reportedly one of several players RB Leipzig is pursuing.

But although Leipzig’s negotiations with the 23-year-old are said to be at an advanced stage, it is far from certain that he will end up at the Red Bull Arena.

According to The Athletic, Feyenoord, Fenerbahce, Zenit St. Petersburg, and Fulham are also interested in Romulo.

Leipzig’s initial bid of €15 million was reportedly rejected by Göztepe, who are demanding at least €20 million for the striker.

Rômulo scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 33 games for Göztepe last season.
