Yan Diomande has had a breakout season so far in the Bundesliga – and RB Leipzig want to cash in on their young superstar and get a record fee.

Yan Diomande – a name only football experts were familiar with before RB Leipzig signed him in the summer of 2025 for €20 million (market value of €1.5 million at that time).

Leipzig clearly saw superstar potential in the 19-year-old and were proven to be right very quickly: Diomande has already recorded 11 goal involvements in only 18 games for the German side.

FC Bayern are rumoured to be very interested in him, but in order to get him, they would reportedly have to pay a record fee: Leipzig are aiming to get at least €100 million for Diomande!

Their goal is to make him their new record sale; the current most expensive outgoing transfer is Josko Gvardiol to Manchester City for €90 million.

As Sky’s transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reports, a lot will depend on the rest of the season and the following World Cup. Diomande’s value might even rise during that time – and if it doesn’t go down, Bayern would most certainly be out of the race for the young superstar.
