Real Madrid have told Liverpool that they are trying to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold but the Bernabeu side are also trying to sign another player from the Anfield outfit.
Liverpool outclassed an injury-hit Real Madrid side 2-0 in the Champions League in midweek, with Kylian Mbappe, in particular, having a nightmare evening for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
While this has led to the outlandish claims that Mbappe has been “cursed by a witch doctor”, it has also prompted the Champions League holders to consider another raid on Arne Slot’s winning machine.
Real Madrid want Gravenberch: Liverpool demand ‘crazy’ price
Real Madrid are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, Fichajes states.
Although Los Blancos see the 22-year-old as one of the most promising players in European football, they have been stunned by the Reds’ demand for €90 million to sign a player they bought for €40m 18 months ago following a failed stint at Bayern Munich.
Ancelotti’s side, who confirmed that they are seeking to sign Alexander-Arnold next summer from the Reds, are looking at other alternatives to get a deal for Gravenberch over the line.

Aurelien Tchouameni could be sent in the opposite direction in a part-exchange deal, and it is claimed in Spain that this could be “key” to unlocking the deal.
It is even claimed that Liverpool could pay an additional surcharge to Real Madrid to sign the France international, even if Gravenberch, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €46.2m, travels in the opposite direction.
Tchouameni v Gravenberch
Although both Tchouameni and Gravenberch play in the centre of midfield, they are asked to play different roles in their respective teams.
The Netherlands star is more forward-thinking, playing a box-to-box role, while Tchouameni acts as a deep-lying playmaker.

In terms of quality, data analytics experts SciSports rate Gravenberch more highly, both in terms of his immediate qualities and his future potential.
Indeed, given the form of the Netherlands star currently, it seems inconceivable that Liverpool would allow him to depart to Real Madrid and pay an additional sum for a (marginally) inferior player to travel in the opposite direction.
