Real Madrid are reportedly ready to go “all out” for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez following confirmation that Vitinha has no interest in joining the club this summer.

Vitinha, 26, had been earmarked as a top transfer target by the Real Madrid hierarchy due to his immense form for Paris Saint-Germain, however he has now revealed that he will not be completing a blockbuster move to the Bernabeu in 2026.

When asked if he could leave PSG amid reported interest from Real Madrid, Vitinha told Canal11 (via Football Espana): “It would be foolish to leave. I don’t think it would be the best thing for me. I feel great here at PSG!

“I feel like people really appreciate me, and I’ve earned that affection. I love being here; my family does too. The group is fantastic, and the coach is incredible.”

With a move for Vitinha now extremely unlikely to take place, Real Madrid have now shifted their focus to finalising a deal for long-term target Fernandez.

That is according to Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that Los Blancos are preparing an opening bid worth €120 million as they look to tempt Chelsea into a sale when the 2026 summer transfer window opens.

Fernandez has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid for over 12 months and he remains on Florentino Perez’s radar as the Spanish giants look to secure the services of a new central midfielder after failing to replace Luka Modric last summer.

However, he still has over six years remaining on his current contract at Chelsea and he has established himself as a pivotal player under new boss Liam Rosenior. As a result, the Stamford Bridge board reportedly have no intention of sanctioning a sale this summer.

Verdict: Will Enzo Fernandez join Real Madrid?

It’s reported that Fernandez is aware of Real Madrid’s interest in his signature and Los Blancos are planning on entering into formal talks with the Argentina midfielder over the coming weeks.

Despite this, Chelsea want to retain their best players as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title and Fernandez certainly falls into that bracket.

Furthermore, his deal isn’t due to expire until 2032 and Real Madrid are therefore highly likely to be left empty-handed in their pursuit of his signature.
