Real Madrid issue transfer message amid Arsenal and Man Utd competition

Real Madrid are set to trigger the buy-back clause in Nico Paz’s contract at Como next summer, according to reports.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic start to life in Italy, following his €6 million move to Como in 2024, scoring six goals and providing six assists in 27 Serie A appearances for Cesc Fabregas’ side.

His form has attracted significant interest from a number of top clubs across Europe, with Arsenal, Inter Milan, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all keeping tabs on his situation, as per TBR Football.

However, Paz’s representatives have reportedly informed the aforementioned four clubs that the Argentina international will remain at Como next campaign before returning to Real Madrid in 2026.

Los Blancos have decided that Paz will continue his development at Como for another year before rejoining the club next summer, and with the 20-year-old eager to become a regular starter at the Santiago Bernabeu, he is prepared to follow Real Madrid’s plan, according to TBR Football.

Nico Paz to remain at Como

News of Real Madrid’s plan follows confirmation from Paz’s father, Pablo, that his son is expected to stay at Como for another season.

He recently told La Provincia Di Como (via Tutto Juve): “If you ask Nico what he would like to do, his wish would undoubtedly be to stay another year in Como. He is very happy, he is happy and with Fabregas it is like doing a university master’s degree.

“He likes everything and I would agree too. Then there are higher interests at stake, but another year in Como would be ok.”

Paz still has three years remaining on his current contract at Como, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at a career peak of €24.9m following his immense form so far this campaign.
