Endrick has no intention of joining Manchester United in January, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Brazilian wonderkid will leave Madrid on loan in January as he is well down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But following on from his comments earlier in the week that Lyon are in advanced talks for Endrick, Romano has spoken again to rubbish reports that the attacker could move to Man Utd in the winter.
What did Romano say?
“Rumors about Endrick joining Manchester United are zero because he wants to play,” Romano said on his Youtube channel.
“He would be ready to compete, as he is doing at Real Madrid, but what he wants most right now is regular playing time to show his skills and develop.
“The favourite for Endrick right now is Olympique Lyon.
“There are ongoing conversations for a simple loan, no buy clause, no permanent deal. He doesn’t want to leave Madrid permanently.”
Real Madrid also want to stay in control of the player as they have not yet given up on him. Endrick also believes he can still make it as Madrid.
Madrid considered loaning out the teenager during the summer transfer window but ended up keeping the attacker for the 2025/26 season.
However, Endrick has endured a miserable start to the current season and played just 11 minutes of football in all competitions.
Real Madrid still maintain their belief that Endrick can become a top player after he scored seven goals last season, but he will have more playing opportunities away from the Spanish capital.
He has been linked to a number of top European clubs, including Man Utd, Juventus and Milan.
But it appears as if Lyon are set to win the race for his loan signature.
Endrick hopes that a good second half to the season will also give him a chance of making it into the Brazil national team squad.
Endrick joined Real Madrid from Palmeiras in 2024 for a fee that could eventually reach €72 million.
At the time he was considered the brightest young talent in Brazilian football.
He has won 14 caps for Brazil and scored three times.
