Red Bull boss responds to speculation over Jürgen Klopp’s future

Oliver Mintzlaff has dismissed an Austrian report suggesting that Jürgen Klopp could could be leaving his role at Red Bull soon.

A recent report from Salzburger Nachrichten raised questions about Jürgen Klopp’s future as Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer, suggesting that he could leave the position.

However, the speculation has now been strongly dismissed by Red Bull’s CEO of Corporate Projects and New Investments, Oliver Mintzlaff.

“That is complete nonsense and entirely fabricated,” Mintzlaff was quoted as saying by a number of outlets, including Transfermarkt and Sky.

“On the contrary: we are extremely satisfied with Jürgen Klopp’s work. He invests a great deal of effort, is in constant communication with our coaches and sporting directors, and is sustainably developing our Red Bull football philosophy.

“We are convinced that he is the right man for this job. That is where we are placing all of our focus and energy.”
