Saturday’s reports claim that there is an agreement in principle in place between Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders and Premier League outfit Manchester City, while the Rossoneri hold out for a €75m price tag.

Reijnders, who has spent the last two seasons in San Siro, has been strongly linked with a move away from Serie A to join Man City in the summer transfer window.

Reports earlier in the week claim that Milan have rejected an initial offer from the Citizens, worth around €60m in total, made up of €55m plus up to €5m in bonuses.

The Rossoneri are adamant, however, that they will receive a €75m fee for the Netherlands international, who provided 15 goals and five assists from the centre of the park across all competitions this season.

While negotiations between Man City and Milan are still ongoing, Saturday’s reports claim that there is now an agreement in principle on personal terms between the Premier League side and the midfielder.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, City are prepared to offer Reijnders a long-term contract worth around €7m per season in wages, which is roughly double what he earns on his current contract in San Siro.

Reijdners has reportedly been earning around €1.7m per season in wages on his first Milan contract after joining from AZ Alkmaar in a €20.5m deal in 2023. He then signed an extension in March, bumping his salary up to €3.5m per season plus bonuses.
