Milan have reportedly missed out on KAA Gent star Archie Brown, who is flying to Istanbul to complete his transfer to Fenerbahce.

The 23-year-old emerged rather late as a target for left-back following the departure of Theo Hernandez to Al-Hilal.

Multiple sources including Sportitalia confirmed today that while both Milan and Fenerbahce were told the asking price of €8m plus bonuses, the final decision was up to Brown.

As previously warned, the Rossoneri needed to rush in order to catch up and make a strong proposal to the player, which Nieuwsblad in Belgium claim they failed to do.

While MilanNews.it noted the personal terms were not as good as the ones offered by Fenerbahce, Nieuwsblad insist there was no concrete bid from Milan at all.

They assure Brown is already flying out to Istanbul to complete the transfer to Fenerbahce, forcing the Rossoneri to seek out a different alternative in the role.
