It is expected to be an initial fee of €18m with a further €2m in performance-related bonuses.

The central defender just celebrated his 29th birthday last month and is under contract until June 2027, with an option to extend for another year.

The Colombia international has 71 senior caps for his country and has been playing in Europe since 2016.

After a spell at Ajax, he was sold to Tottenham Hotspur for €42m in 2017, then switched to Galatasaray in September 2023 for €9.5m.

Last season, Sanchez made 44 official matches for Galatasaray, also contributing five goals and two assists from defence.

Como have been one of the biggest spenders in the Serie A window so far this summer, as they wish to consolidate their top flight status and give coach Cesc Fabregas a stronger squad.
