Report: Doan could leave SC Freiburg in summer

With a combined total of 13 goals and assists in 26 Bundesliga games, Ritsu Doan may be looking to move on from the Breisgauers in summer.

SC Freiburg’s Ritsu Doan is believed to be considering the next step in his career, according to Kicker.

The Breisgau club’s sporting director Klemens Hartenbach emphasised that no obstacles would be placed in the way of the winger. 

“There are good arguments for saying, both sportingly and personally. But if you can speak of a perfect time to leave it would probably be next summer,” Hartenbach said.

Apparently, there is no shortage of interest out there, with Eintracht Frankfurt among other Bundesliga clubs keen on the Japanese international.

A fee of around €20million would likely be enough to sign Doan, although no official offers have been submitted yet.
