Chelsea are the latest club pushing for Lazio defender Mario Gila and reportedly prepared to offer €35m for the Milan, Manchester City and Bournemouth target.

The centre-back has attracted a great deal of interest in recent months thanks to his performances in the Biancocelesti jersey.

New Milan director of sport Igli Tare has already set his sights on reuniting with Gila at San Siro, but the Premier League seems to be particularly fired up.

Manchester City and Bournemouth were linked with a bid for the Spaniard, who turns 25 in August.

Now DAZN transfer reporter Orazio Accomando claims that Chelsea are ready to make a big €35m proposal to secure him at Stamford Bridge under coach Enzo Maresca.

A product of the Real Madrid youth academy, he moved to Lazio for €6m in the summer of 2022.

His contract runs to June 2027, but a departure is likely this year because the Aquile sensationally failed to qualify for European football following a final round 1-0 home defeat to 10-man Lecce.

Gila made 43 competitive appearances for Lazio this season, also contributing two goals.
