According to Belgian transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, Inter have agreed the sale of Aleksandar Stankovic to Club Brugge for €10m including add-ons, but keep a large buy-back option.

It is believed to be an agreement for €8m fixed fee, plus a further €2m in performance-related bonuses.

Inter wanted to keep hold of a buy-back option and they have been given that, but it is set at a remarkable figure of €28m.

It was suggested that Stankovic was proposed as part of an exchange for Club Brugge defender Joel Ordonez, but it remained a mere alternative and was never particularly pursued beyond that stage.

The midfielder turns 20 next month and is one of two sons of Inter legend Dejan Stankovic who came up through their youth academy.

Coming off a season-long loan in Switzerland with Luzern, he had also been linked with VfB Stuttgart and VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

However, Club Brugge directors were in Milan yesterday for a meeting at Inter headquarters and it seems they were able to shake hands on a deal.
