Armindo Sieb played a key role in Mainz’s 2-1 win over his parent club, Bayern Munich, on Saturday, providing two assists.
Last summer, Mainz paid a reported €1 million to sign the 21-year-old on a two-year loan deal that, according to Bild, includes a release clause.
And if Mainz want to make Sieb’s loan move permanent, they’ll have to put €5 million on the table, the German tabloid claims.
In that case, however, Bayern would be able to re-sign Sieb via a buy-back option, according to the report, which doesn’t specify the value of the clause.
Sieb has two goals and two assists in 15 appearances for Mainz this season.
