As expected, Roma have raised their offer to Flamengo for Wesley to €25m, but are also preparing a proposal to Hellas Verona for defender Daniele Ghilardi.
The negotiations continue to drag on and it was no secret that the Giallorossi would send over a fresh bid to Flamengo after the opener of €20m plus €2m in bonuses was turned down.
Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia confirm that has now been put forward, and it is at €25m including the add-ons.
It remains to be seen if that will suffice, but Roma are safe in the knowledge Wesley only wants to move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Meanwhile, they are also looking to strengthen the defence for new coach Gian Piero Gasperini and the latest target is Hellas Verona centre-back Ghilardi.
The 22-year-old is a regular for Italy at Under-21 level and had already been the subject of an offer from Real Betis.
According to Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma have now surpassed that bid with a proposal of their own for Ghilardi.
A product of the Fiorentina youth academy, he flourished at Verona and had some loan experiences with Mantova and Sampdoria.
