According to reports in Turkey, Galatasaray are less interested in Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer after hearing of his salary demands.

There had been suggestions from several sources that the veteran shot-stopper was on their radar for this summer.

They had initial talks and made enquiries, including with the player’s entourage, but it seems they did not get the answers they were looking for.

Fanatik claim that director of sport Abdullah Kavukcu spoke to Sommer’s representatives and was informed the Switzerland international wants a two-year contract with salary of €7-8m per season.

That is well beyond the figures that Galatasaray were thinking of, which were closer to €3m per season maximum.

Inter are another problem, as while they are prepared to sell the goalkeeper, it would not be for the €1-2m that Galatasaray are offering.

It therefore looks as if Sommer will be wiped off their wish list for the summer.

Galatasaray are also known to be pushing Inter for midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, but again are unlikely to meet his €30m asking price.
